After reading a few posts it sounds like the Freelander is a good thing,not something I would want but still a good car. I picked up an old issue of 4X4 Australia magazine from July this year that had an article rating all the compact SUV's on sale in Australia. But for some reason? there is no Freelander mentioned. Can anyone shed some light on this? The top ten is as follows.

#4-Renault Koleos Bose
#5-Toyota Rav4 GXL
#6-Honda CR-V VTi-L

The Mazda is the biggest selling in this segment and is outselling Prado and Grand Cherokee. Without being Land Rover biased I would have thought the Freelander would be a better car than the ones mentioned above.
This not trying to stir the pot its just an answer to the question. Since 2002 FPV have been the only company in Australia building V8 Engines. Holden/HSV have been using crate engines since the 5.7L GenIII was introduced.Quote:
