I would not hesitate to take an FL2 over the CSR/Simpson dunes,it's power with low weight would make most hard core vehicles look clumsy. Pat
My Freelander 2 is a great car... and my boyfriend thinks so too!

Interesting how a discussion on the looks of a car makes people post defending their FL2's...![]()

For me the 101FC is much nicer than the FL2.
Hmmm, never mentioned I didn't like the FL2 at all...
I was just making comment that some jumped to their defence without them even being raised.. I actually quite like them - we almost bought one, but idiot me got SWMBO to drive an L322 afterwards and the FL was soon forgotten. I still wouldn't be upset if one found a home in my driveway at some stage.

I had a FL2 as a loaner for a week...
If I didnt need the size and towing rating of the D4 would consider one for most use...
Went like stink, frugal, solid and honest vehicle with all the options...
Had an Evoque for a day as well (Wife was looking to buy one) - another great vehicle... Just looking for a different owner and purpose.
Amazing how many people dislike change or anything new... Identity branding is an important factor, as is economy (Cd) and you can not get that from a block of flats on wheels and the other consideration now is instant brand recognition (think BMW grill).
Even country Cops like the Freelander II; one so much so he kept sabotaging the Defender so he could have it back... (Hey Digger)
I've had FL2 loaners from Barbagallo whenever mine is in for a service. I love 'em.
Very seriously considering replacing SWMBO's Camry with one - just waiting to see if the price of them is going to move much when the new Disco Sport comes on the market. Might be some good deals about on "run-out" models.![]()
Cheers .........
