Thanks for the advice and tips, greatly appreciated. Totes we sound we are on a very similiar page. Yes the farm is to be income producing but also lifestyle for me and the family. Dave, once it is producing yummy goat you"ll be the first to know. For anyone who is interested feel free to check out my FB page that I set up...search for Southern Downs Boer Goat Farm. It traces the last few years since 2009.Eventually it will be used to sell goat and other free range products, recipes and info in general. Plus will also set up a link here under Vendors.

Thanks again and good to hear from some old friends

    Regards

    Stevo

Obviously depends on budget. However if you can afford it I would get a john deer gator. They are the best thing I have seen around.
We have honda ag bikes and always have.
I quite like the suzuki ag bikes too though.
I dont like bikes that just have electric start though.
Automatic bikes are handy as you just quickly jump off without worrying about getting into neutral.
We only have an old international and a fiat bulldozer- both are not that big. we use them for plowing and fencing. the bulldozer gets used for creek crossing and making and fixing tracks.
As far as guns I would be looking at a 22 and maybe a 222 or 304 i think are the common ones. we have 22s and 243 as well as a shotgun.
I would look at a small tipper trailer too, as they are so handy behind a quad or atv. or even a bigger tipper trailer behind a 4wd.

Good luck with the farm Steve.
Boer goats, wild pigs and other varmin, you could make a game park.
Diversify into breeding Leopards which hunters can pay big dollars to shoot,as a by product you could make genuine Anti-nance Leopordskin knickers
I see another leopoard skin pantie pic coming on
