Answer- No you can still order any model you want, including the 90, but because the dealers dont get them on consignment, they have to buy them, they dont order floor stock as they are so slow selling. You can order any model want with any factory accessories, but there is a wait or around 3-4 months.

Discounts are unlikely, bug ones anyway, because there is such little mark up.

I think this is all right. Matt
That is also what I have understood directly from the LRA MD.

Still has alloys as standard for the fashion conscious I,m afraid. Other wheels are on offer (for the same price of course.)

Will they ever learn what Defender fans really want?

They might one day. You would have thought that they would recognise that people who buy defenders arent really interested in bling bling. Matt

Bearing in mind that I've been a diehard LR fan since Noah was a boy, and owned all LR models since the Series with the exception of the current L322, the big question I'm now facing, given that there's probably going to be little change out of $50K, is should I buy one when a base model japero diesel with a 10 year manufacturers warranty can be had for nearly 10 grand cheaper?

    Over to you guys.

All I can say is carefully evaluate your needs, analyse the market, list alternatives, make the tradeoffs, come to a logical decision and then go with what your wife wants.

Yeah but a japero is a 10K less off roader. As a land rover fan, i think you know the answer to that question, as you knew what all our answers would be before you asked it. Having said this, i depends on what you want to do with it. I would grab a used TD5 disco before i would by a new japero. Matt

Can actually buy a new seriesII TD5 runout disco for less than a new defender. I was never comfortable driving the disco though.

I have also considered removing the stickers but am in two minds. If I ever come to sell the vehicle will it be worth more or less with the stickers removed??

Non-LR person converting to a real 4wd: "Are you sure it is an Extreme? It doesn't have those nifty stickers......"

LR person: "Ah, I see you have taken off those stupid stickers!"

Serious question - did the stickers come off easily?
