    RR Advertising - what are they thinking ????

    Flew down to Melbourne this week and noticed the latest RR advertising in the Qantas magazine.

    It goes like this.....

    A full page glossy picture showing only the speedo and tacho (presumably of a Range Rover) The printed text down the left hand side reads....

    It's 17.30 and we've only got 50 minutes to make the marina at Point-a-Pitre before they lock the bowsers.
    We need at least 1200 litres for the run down to Martinique tomorrow.
    Otherwise we won't make the connection to Cancun.
    I flatten the throttles and the turbos kick in.
    I throw Bill the Sat phone and ask him to call up Sam to meet us for a drink atthe yacht club in an hour.
    Then I settle back with my hands on the helm and my eyes on the horizon. It's not long before I can make out the heads off Point-a-Pitre and take a new bearing to the marina.
    Bill takes over and I go below for a quick shower and shave.
    I'm back topside just in time to see Sam driving the Rangie along the pier to meet us.
    I give her a wave.
    The driver's window slides down and I recognise her tanned face - and instantly recall that laugh of hers.
    I always did like a drink at Point-a-Pitre


    WTF.... 8O 8O 8O

    Bus loads of people got off the plane and went straight to the local Land Rover dealer to buy a Range Rover after seeing that :wink:
