The bottom line is outlets from dairies to shops are circumventing the laws by stating/labeling milk as a beauty product/not for human consumption, customers are knowingly buying this product for consumption. The easiest way to prevent these practices is to legislate that all milk produced as 'not for human consumption' has to have a gagging agent added. Any producer caught failing to comply should be heavily fined and shut down.
I recently (last couple of months) saw an article on this subject on one of the current affairs shows. A metrosexual, city dwelling dad was complaining about how far he had to drive (in a Prious ;) ) to get 'healthy' milk for hi kids and how it had to be sold as a beauty aid. The article was filmed at the dairy where the purchase was made. Both the buyer and seller knew the intention of the purchase and were advocating a change in the law to legitimize the transaction.
To compare the dangers of raw milk with car travel is ludicrous. There are laws relating to primary and secondary safety, particularly in regards to children, to minimize the the danger. Would anyone accept carrying a baby on your lap, in a car, as a lifestyle choice?
