There are 1 and 2 man units - the 1 man units are a bit more awkward to move around and are larger to cart around, but have more grunt than the 2 man units. You still may need to use water in the holes no matter which one you use.

Thanks for all the suggestions (and Bacicat for your offer).
I was lucky with the holes, and the water turned them into butter for the hand borer.

After chatting to the guys at the local rural supplies place I ended up getting some 50mm square "project mesh" and will just staple that onto 75x50 rails. Its a bit heavier than chicken wire and pretty much self supporting, the rails are cheap and I didn't have to mess around with heavier strainer posts and tensioning wires. Probably not economic for a long run but I think has worked out OK for this one.
Posts and rails are all done, and I should have the mesh on tomorrow after work. Turned out my 100x100 Bunnings posts were actually H4 treated.

I've also realised its a bit embarrassing asking for fence advice for such a tiny bit of fencing, when real blokes are running out hundreds of metres at a time and would have got mine done before lunch

Damn. If it wasn't so far I'd be round in a shot
