    Tom.

Unfortunately, when a Nation is at war,[ or broke] , there is no money to spend on show piece attractions. What is not well known is the RAN had two gun run teams, at the apprentice school, HMAS NIRIMBA, Quakers hill. This is the last gun run in the RN. Bob

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

We went in '89 and really enjoyed the show as it was still mostly military based. The organisation getting the spectators in and out was really good and although cold, it was a great night.
We record it now and I cut most of the silly dancing stuff out but just love those pipes.
The pipes are in my blood as well (GG was a Scot in the Royal Marines) and they never fail to thrill me.
    Long may the wail......

We went to the Tattoo in 2001 and it was great.
Very cold, cramped in the stands and the parade ground is really quite small compared to how it looks on TV. Fantastic experience.

I agree with most here ? it's losing a bit of it's Scottish-ness and losing way too much of it's military themes.

My wife (a Scot) and I get stirred up by the pipers and their magnificent sounds. It's a military tattoo, I hope the organisers remember that.

I stopped watching it years ago because it moved too far away from the military aspects.
