I like his line about the car being set for cull not avoid! I wonder if that excuse will stand up in court - I must ask a magistrate I know what he would do if a passenger blamed his driverless car for causing an accident.

Google Maps .... right.
My street is a cul de sac with a park at the end, but Google Maps says that the footpath through the park is a road and it's a short cut around a crowded intersection two streets down. So about every 10 minutes all through the day a car will come screaming down our street heading down the short cut. When they get to the end the brakes go on and there's a pause. Then they come back. Occasionally they try to go down my neighbours driveway.
Edit: And Google Maps also says that the laneway at the back of our place is a road and shows it as through-road: it's not. Cue cars trying to reverse 400 metres back down a narrow laneway.
