Instead of having a poorly paid Indian taxi driver to blame you'll have a poorly paid Indian IT specialist instead. Will the Dashboard Assistant (TM) play soothing elevator music while you sit there trapped in the wreckage? The possibilities are endless.

    .................................................. .................................................. ..

Would driverless cars have enough sensors and brains to prevent a massive pile-up like this one?

Technology is advancing at a phinominal rate , I suppose It's only a matter of time , lets face It who would have thought 25 years ago people would have Sat nav's in there cars , Some of them are pretty sophisticated . I've got a Hema . The only thing wrong with It is , by the time I work out all the things It does , It will be out of date , But Ya roll It on !!.. Jim

Already quite advanced, I saw the previous unit at VMWorld in 2012 and it looks like they have made quite some improvements since then. Laws were changed in California to allow driverless cars at Google's behest.

Oh, no. The one way freeway was a great idea. I'll explain it to you one day. I've used it hundreds of times.
