I must admit, the boy does get excited. Was good to hear you the other night,, you sound funny when your smiling that hard dude :-)
Thanks for that. What a hoot!!!
Wifey & I did a hot lap there in '07 in the 300 tdi D1. I commented that it looked nothing like on telly & then, when reaching the start/finish, realised that we'd been going the reverse direction:blush::blush:
Steve
Awesome, but so slow.
I've done laps faster in the Td5 Disco....

:D
Was great to meet you :)
It has been few years now since I have been to the Mountain :) used to go their for all the Easter meets motor cycle and cars, then they split it up M'cycles Easter, Cars October ;) and I still have clear memories of doing laps of the mountain of an afternoon after racing finished, and can clearly remember one occasion coming out of Forrest Elbow onto the mountain straight prone on the tank of my 500 BMW and being passed at 90+MPH by my friend sitting bolt upright on his 1000cc Vincent Black Shadow wearing a "Cromwell Pudding Basin Helmet" he later told me that 100MPH came up @ 3,900 RPM :D (I would have pretty well had my carby slides in my pocket) that would have been the early/mid 70's before I met swmbo.
That Vincent is now owned by a member of the Vintage M'cycle Club of Qld :)
I still have mine.
hehe, Bowe did that pretty deliberately onto Conrod. The ute took the proper apex and put its power down early and carried a lot of exit speed. Bowe used an early apex which is very slow out of the corner and the power goes down late. He was getting the ute out of the way without passing it, drag racing down the straight into the chase or banging panels. He knows its all about income rather than racing.
What a great experience though!
Andy, I did three laps of Barbagallo in the ute with Chris. Absolutely awesome, it was a wet day so punters driving was canned. I think we did about a hundred yards in a straight line, the rest was sideways.
I did a couple of hot laps in 1994 as well:p

That looked great Chris, it's some I've always wanted to do.
