Marcia will be cat 4 as it crosses the coast, then cat 1 soon after, down to a low as it reaches Brisbane. Gale force winds, heavy rain. If you don't have that cyclone kit sorted, now is the time. The daughter will remember her time at Gayndah, first an earthquake, now a cyclone. They are prepared, Bob

It is estimated that will hit the coast and then come down on it towards Bundaberg.
That can be a serious implications for the Hervey Bay.
Many years ago was an study done which said that a cyclone in that direction can produce a massive water search between Fraser Island and the shore leaving the town of Hervey Bay exposed to it.
There are some areas that should never been developed there.

    Stay safe friends....

Plenty of forum users in the likely impact zone of TC Marcia as well as several in Nhulunbuy and the areas of NT that are going to cop TC Lam.

One positive is Marcia has been calculated to hit the coast at low tide. Let's hope so. Bob

Let's not forget our friends in the Territory. I haven't seen two cat 4 cyclones at one time , from memory. Elcho is copping it big time. Bob
