It will probably turn out to look exactly like the current one - I hope
No chance unfortunately,it'll have the sloping bonnet with a raked back windscreen like everything else,I do hope they keep the waisted sides, most likely they won't or it'll be less pronounced. Pat
Defenders "dated" 40 years ago, but they're quirky so we love them.
This new thing, whatever it turns out to be - will no doubt be quirky in 10 years from release.
Most of you have made comment that you have no intent of replacing the unit you have, so you're no longer the target audience :)
Whatever the new one is, I'm sure it will fulfill its design function with capability unmatched by the opposition.
Unfortunately, you are probably right. One of the major advantages of the Defender is the near vertical glass, which greatly reduces the amount of sunlight inside. Almost every vehicle made today was designed by someone who lives in a cold climate or, in a few cases, slavishly follows the styling established by them.

Aerodynamic rule book!
The only issue I have with the new defender is that I feel it'll be good, very good in fact which means the people that normally buy Patrols or Cruisers and believe 4wd Action is a well respected publication will buy them instead,I don't really want to listen to the likes of Bazza and his mates Simmo,Turbo,Armpit on this forum. Hi,
Just wondering if there has been any news/photos of the new Defender?
I've had a look on-line but the most relevant articles are dated Aug 2014.
nope there's none.
not from Land Rover anyway.
It must be the worlds best kept secret.
With all the social media around, its a wonder something hasn't got out.
