Okay a nice little f*** up on my behalf 8O i have just realised that the tavern i was thinking about is not called the Hope Island Tavern (that's further along and not quite as good) it's called the Boardwalk Tavern (still in Hope Island, just 2km closer) :roll: Updated details below...

Basically heading down the M1 from Brisbane direction, take the Oxenford/Hope Island/Paradise Point exit just after Dreamworld - Exit 57.
Or from Coolangatta Exit 57 before Dreamworld then take a right across the highway.
Exit 57 - OXENFORD-SOUTHPORT RD, OXENFORD for 4.61km
Take the 1st exit at ROUNDABOUT > SANTA BARBARA RD, HOPE ISLAND for 92m
You will see signs (maybe) for Santa Barbara/Sanctuary Cove, as you take a left at a big roundabout (heaps of orange plastic road blocks)... you will see a small shopping complex on your left with a BI-LO supermarket... that is it, you should now also see the Tavern... Harleys Seafood is in the same complex.
