Ideally this vehicle should be parked outside Bacicats neigh our for a week, to give them something else to think about, or Maccas
By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.

That's not in the book so we didn't remove it.

I thought this was going to be a thread with handy hints for surviving a zombie apocalypse or perhaps vehicle upholstery cleaning tips for serial killers

    Easy, you live in Darwin

Park your car in your driveway, have a beer around noon and take five minute nap on the couch. Before you wake your car will be on the bush bash of it's life. Just think, all the little schrubs giving your car a delicate tickle on the undercarriage. Sure to knock most dead animals loose. If you're lucky, or unlucky, depending on if you are a glass is half full or half empty sort of guy they may also cook the meat that maybe remaining. Car to char setting.

Good luck. Don't envy that sort of job let alone in the barmy heat of Darwin.

    Regards
    Andrew

P.S. The beer at noon is not the secret to this being a success.

I had the same issue recently only the dead critter I ran over was an already well mangled fox. It took about a week for the smell to disappear. The smell came from gore splatter on the car under body rather than embedded bits of fox.

Well I give it a pretty good clean last night but it was dark by the time I reached the under bonnet. The under body is all splash guard and from what I can see it's unlikely that anything got above that. The wheel arches are now spotless.

It still smells pretty bad. I've had a good look around and I can see a couple of piles of grass hoppers that I missed under the bonnet. There was no blood or guys on the front of the car, it would have only been thrown up from the wheels. The grass hoppers didn't splatter much either but they did pile up on the radiator.

The mech recons it's the grass hoppers that are stinking. I have appoligized for the smell and it get the remaining grass hoppers out when I get home.

    Happy days.

I have meat ants in the yard, they clean that stuff up for me.

So far they get to live as they haven't come inside the house or car........
