yep, it's the grasshoppers , they stink like hell.

I just came back through Longreach/Barcaldine a few days ago. From experience I would never drive that road at night.

It was bad enough a few nights earlier when my 'co-driver' (a pom with no previous bush experience) just didn't want to camp out on the jump up out of Jundah because there was a storm.....so I folded and drove on to Longreach in the dark , eyes bulging out of my sockets as
I drove along amongst the kangaroos.....he felt better driving through the roos than camping out after a storm.

edit.....anyway it was my first trip out there in about the last 5 that I didn't hit a roo the whole trip.
