Is there GST added to fines ? Jim

I don't know about traffic fines or parking fines but court fines that use penalty units to determine the amount certainly do. That why a penalty unit is $110. It's $100 + $10 GST.

I payed the fine , then some time later Vic roads said that they had had some problems with them pealing off . How ironic now they don't even issue them . So today's minimum ? Cheers Jim .

I didn't quite explain , I was stopped because the officer couldn't see the rego sticker , It was on the dash not the screen . I will always remember , after the license check , ect , he handed me the infringement notice , I asked " What is this for " he said waisting my time !!.. then drove off . It was quite a few years ago .. Jim

As of October 2014 Queensland has gone labelless, one must carry their current rego papers in the vehicle! a bit stupid if you ask me, then anybody that steals a vehicle has papers to prove ownership,so can go to shonky car yard or wreckers and flog the vehicle, one can get interstate in under 24 hours!

Rego papers are not proof of ownership.

You are correct there, but if you go to sell a vehicle to a yard, they will sight the rego papers and then do a revs/vehicle encumberence check and to what finance co. before offering you a price.
