From memory over 155 km there are 30 bridges or large culverts
The clearwater, a great spot for the small kids to have a swim
The kerosene, never gets dirty, flows out of limestone cave
Well after 4068 mm in 3 months the roads get a bit knocked around,
Here is the Tiaru, we lost one section of bailey, and are training the river to use the other channel, to make a crossing.
You can see the abutment piles in one pic
And the lost bailey in another
The remaining bailey has shifted on it's central pier, so we are lucky we did not lose that.

By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.

The Ivuli, a big river, they put in two bridges last year, one is gone and the water course changed dramatically
Suffice to say i was the first car it seems to go shopping in Kimbe after 3 weeks, once the rain stopped it took 10 days for the levels to get low enough. Lot more photo's but internet too slow today
I really have little desire to do Cape York when this is part of the annual ritual.295.jpg
