Hope you had a great Easter, I do not seem to get much apart from fun luckily but your comment about the police had me recalling a trip to Warrnambool from Sydney on a bike. at about 2am on the Hume north of Albury a long convoy of trucks decided tailgating me was funny at 110kph, at 130kph or 150kph. I was not enjoying their company at any speed!

Bike went to 220kph for 5km before I turned the lights of and got off the road . After the trucks passed I got going again and was very pleased to see all of the trucks off the side of the road chatting to some very displeased police.

I saw several of the driver at a truck stop near Melbourne. Grumbling and whinging which put a smile on my dial for the next 400km :D:D

The hilux boys do give me light hearted curry about my disco off road at time except at river crossings where they float so well like ducks:D:D:D

Italian no thanks Bob. I liked my butt on long rides not to vibrate- Heck I am hazing now! Sorry Dukes are nice bikes.

It was a BMW K100.

A Harley rider once asked to try mine and me his while riding down the Hume. The sod would not get off and after two hours on his hog I know why he wanted my bike :eek: He mentioned how cumforatable my bike was. I am still thinking of the correct way to tell him how I felt about his wheels:censored:

A current thread on the V-Strom forum has a number of HD riders saying how bad on spine/backside their bikes are. More than a few say they are only good to go to the nearest bar.

I've never ridden a Harley but I did ride a mate's Vulcan once. While it's no potato potato serenaderer, the sound of the big V twin does urge one to keep twisting. Very comfy too, for the short time I was on it.

If you had the opportunity of driving a Ferguson T20 then it will give you an idea what it is riding a HD :D

I've driven plenty of tractors Chucky, none of them sounded as good or went nearly as fast as a hardly ridable. My choice of top three bikes would be
Harley Ultraglide
BM RT/LT
Goldwing
