Maybe you've had similar experiences?
Mick's Law: The older a Toyota Landcruiser, the more likely it is that the occupants will behave like juvenile idiots when encountering a Land Rover.
Says it all, really.

For me, it's Jeep drivers. Well one really. Complete tosser. I parked up in front of him at Byron Bay. As we got out he and partner were returning. Now far enough he had a shiny new Wrangler. I said 'hello' as we passed, 'nice car' and straight away said 'yeah, thanks. Better than those pieces of ****'.
I get negative comments at work too. But strangely, I get more people that want to stop and chat about/look over the car.
Haters gonna hate!
Murphy likes me, I usually get these idiots being the ones that phone me for help when they get stuck.
If I know the person doesn't realise this and I'm in a bad mood I take great pride in turning up just to remind them " nope, there's no way I could get all the way out to here in this piece of crap to help you recover your mighty and unstopable (x)". I'll then hand them a shovel or tirfor and tell them to clean it before they return it and drive off.

If you've benefited from one or more of my posts please remember, your taxes paid for my skill sets, I'm just trying to make sure you get your monies worth.
If you think you're in front on the deal, pay it forwards.
Apparently I'm supposed to be impressed that a battered, smoky, 60 series can pass my shiny, near-new Defender, which was doing the 110 km/h speed limit in the left lane, minding its own business, and to gain wisdom from an upraised middle finger. I just laughed at their stupidity, so obviously I didn't get their message.

if you're like me out where I've just been , I just say "this is my 17th trip out here in this , how many has yours done?"
actually , all the locals say that Grumble is an absolute credit to the marque and look forward to seeing it each time.
it's the other tourists who shake their heads in wonder and ask if I've ever broken down out there to which I answer "no.....it's never let me down in several hundred thousand kilometres , but I saw a toyota/nissan/mitsubishi/rodeo...choose your brand to suit person... going out on a flatbed yesterday"
I often get similar sneers from Jeep drivers as they overtake the D1 up the Bruce Highway on my ay home to Bribie surrounds only to often smile as they are speaking animatedly to a gentleman in a blue uniform!
Yesterday I noted a Nissan Patrol, body lift, raised suspension on the back of a tilt tray, and again this morning another Patrol being lift towed with what looked like sheered front shockers, but it also had mud up the side doors to the windows.
have a safe Easter
