The tunnel is on the Old Glen Innes road, it was built by convicts in the 1870s or 1880s if I remember correctly....near Dalmerden?? has stuff written in the roof from when it was built. we visited this when I was a nipper, should
add it to the list to go back to... i remember there was a memorial, a cemetery and a toilet we used was long drop and needed flaming out!! but thats about it, not sure if there was nothing else about and the town itself was a ghost town (eg pretty much gone!) I cant find it on google maps..
wonder if our modern tunnels will last this long..
