    I reckon the sign refers to the canvas cross enhanced survey markers used around Maralinga, Emu and Woomera restricted areas and may even denote one of Len Beadells original survey markers.

    So my guess is Woomera restricted area near Dingo claypan.

    Hi Bushie, It's not up here somewhere is it ?

    Unable to upload photos @#$%&&^%# at present so imagine a photo of a desert scene with an old petrol 44 gallon drum with a length of gal pipe sticking out of it with the date 1961 and a faded name scratched into the drum.
