Thanks Jon, I was looking closer to the junction.

No worries. It was just one of those spots that struck me and I had to stop and take a photo. One of the things that really appeals to me about both the Flinders and Gammon Ranges is that juxtaposition of the flat, featureless plains and these rugged ranges springing out of them.
Sadly one thing this thread has shown me is how few photos I've taken of my travels over the years.
Cheers,
Jon
All right, let's start with a list of famous explorers. Taken from the list of Australia's 50 greatest explorers, according to the Australian Museum. Here are the one's I think are relevant:
Tasman
Cook
Flinders
Stuart
Burke
Wills
Leichhardt
Sturt
Mitchell
Blaxland
Lawson
Wentworth
Strzelecki
Mawson
Is he on the list?
Oh, didn't expect that. Thought it would be one of the more deserty types.
I can feel a sleepless night coming on, just me and google maps.
Google Maps tells me its near 257 Mawson Rd, Basket Range. About half a kilometre north of Masons Rd.
Who's putting in an offer on the Series 1?
Cheers,
Jon
A hole in one Jon. Not sure that S1 is still there, the street view data is from 2009 and my pic is from 2014. There were a couple more old LRs there then but I think the number has gone down now.
Anyway, where to now?
Just got lucky there and I'm a bit sorry I did. That was shaping up to be a good one. It was the carriage in the background that made it easy to spot.
Anyway, try this one. No clues yet, let's see where we head first:
