I can thank SWMBO for that one. We traveled that way in 2009 and although I recognised the well head I couldn't remember the name, but SWMBO (who never forgets anything) :p:( was right on top of it.
New location on its way.

As SWMBO was the 'winner' here's one of her photos.

Hmmm, the ridge is not real high and the lush green growth in the swales would suggest a good season and possibly runout/overflow from Eyre Ck maybe near the QAA Line?
The ridge is actually higher than it would appear from the photo but your 'conjecture' otherwise is quite good.

If it's higher than it appears then it's probably further east so maybe in area of Nappanerica Dune with runout from Listore Ck?
No, not .......................... Nappanerica Dune with runout from Listore Ck?
This pic is taken from the same spot looking in a more southerly direction.

Hay River
In the Simpson Desert but not Hay River. It's a couple of hundred k's to the south.

A pretty good campsite for a desert. :)
Roger was pretty close with his first 'guess', but not specific enough.

Dickerrie Waterhole?
Pretty close Roger, the watercourse shown is actually Eyre Creek. Come about 40 Km south of Dickerrie Waterhole (or 30Km north of here) and there's a very important feature for those crossing the Simpson Desert when the Eyre Creek QAA crossing looks like this. :)
