Looks like it might be a view "from" the Three Sisters maybe. I would suggest they are on, or to the right of the photographer.

He said east of the Great Divide so that counts out the 3 sisters ;)

It is somewhere near Sydney. It could have been the Three Sisters as they are about 20km east of the Great Dividing Range, but it isn't. :)

We're somewhere to the north.
