Now I know where it is the photo makes sense, but it was a very different colour when we went through there a couple of years ago.

Heading up to the High Country from SE NSW Coast? Should I look closer in that direction.?

I think that's on the Thompson River, Vic, near the Coopers Cr Campgrounds.

If you substituted Victoria for NSW you would be a lot closer. [smilebigeye]

It's not the Thomson River, but you are close. Try heading north from Coopers Creek.

Aberfeldy river- around Merringtons

Looks a lot like the Turon River near Capertee/Turon Gates/National Park, can't remember the track name.

I'll take that. On my map its marked as The Junction. I've also seen it as Merrington Junction. Either way, it's on the Aberfeldy River and just over the hill from Merrington.

So where to now?
