There's a curved lake at 29.98°S 133.37°E that could fit the bill.

The aircraft was approx following the railway (flying IFR no doubt) which is a much more northerly SYD-PER (or YSSY-YPPH) route than the usual which is across the Bight. Got a good look at the Flinders Ra as well :)

This next couple are from OS again (sorry but I haven't quite unwound from the trip yet) and was a really interesting drive, made moreso by the people and vehicles we met along the way. The name of the pass is what I'm after and as I believe these OS ones should be easy & quick here are a few clues - #1, the road was built about 190years ago and #2 it is the subject of another thread on AULRO.

Looks like the Stelvio pass. Italy. In the Tyrol.
The Tremola, on the southern side of Gotthard Pass.
Furka Pass, Switzerland then?
