Close to the Tanami... looks like the Tanami...shorter road... perhaps the road from Rabbit Flat up to Lajamanu?
A short rd to go and have a look, up the north end of the tanami,not far from a creek named after a great explorer
Ok I think that would be the road into Wolfe Creek crater, not far from Sturt Creek and I remember it as being pretty rough when I've been in there.
