It seems pretty much the same to the "icon" places. GRR, Tanami, Plenty, the Cape and probably many more iconic roads around this country. We travelled all these roads a few years ago, the reports are the not the same anymore :( which is such a shame.

Well , that's life Mrs HH , more people are exposed to these areas now , vehicles are no longer beasts to travel in , as goingbush said , tea coffee scones fuel ice etc all available inside relatively short distances now.

more bitumen creaping in everywhere....the icons will still be there but I think we have had the better adventures on the old roads in the older vehicles.
