Looks a bit like Blinman area.
It seems pretty much the same to the "icon" places. GRR, Tanami, Plenty, the Cape and probably many more iconic roads around this country. We travelled all these roads a few years ago, the reports are the not the same anymorewhich is such a shame.

Looks a bit like Blinman area.
Well , that's life Mrs HH , more people are exposed to these areas now , vehicles are no longer beasts to travel in , as goingbush said , tea coffee scones fuel ice etc all available inside relatively short distances now.
more bitumen creaping in everywhere....the icons will still be there but I think we have had the better adventures on the old roads in the older vehicles.
still plenty more to explore....
I reckon I've seen that old windmill frame.
Not Blinman.....thinking near Lyndhurst.

At the Bolla Bollana smelter?
Not a smelter and not strictly Arkaroola. More south west of there - Use the monster clue
