    Thanks Don , I went down stairs and asked "Roger" your old fender as he is star of the show. He is nearly as well travelled as the other Roger aka "extreme".
    Time to dig up a photo.

    NO the road is called the Richmond - Woolgar road? which runs to Croydon

    Apologies Mrs hh, you may well be correct, but I can only go off the maps I have at hand, I have it as the Richmond Road , and I did ask for the towns on each end.

    This being the route we took, and the photo location at the no 1 pin.
