Time for some clues:
The tank is visible on Google Earth.
It is on the site of a historic goldfield and township.

Thank you Roger. There are plenty of clues to come if we need them, but it's only fair we work for them.

It's not Hill End. When gold was discovered here in 1853, it was in a different colony.

The only thing left of the settlement now is the cemetery.
