Just heard the news. Being a cricket tragic it is a sad day for me.
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

If you haven't read Billy's tribute look at the 12th man face book page. Well said Billy.

Yeah, I'll have to dust off my copy of "The 12th Man" and listen to it again. Great comedy skit of a great man!!!

He took the first eight minutes of BBC's thirty minute news today despite the forthcoming general election news. Shows just how much the Brits loved him.

When he called his last test, in England, the ground announcer mentioned the fact, the crowd gave him a standing ovation, the tv showed some of the Aussie. cricketers looking bemused, Bob
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Why ? all he did was talk about a cricket game. A game, nothing else. Why do we lift these people to a cult status. Are we missing something, or just following the Romans, give the people entertainment. And they will be happy.
