Least worthwhile LR based buy?

I know there's no such thing as a bad investment when it comes to LRs  , however, I would like to learn from other people's "mistakes" when it came to buying accessories/upgrades/others, such as winches, tyres, air compressors, oil, bullbars, (even vehicles) etc...

Basically a list of things that aren't worthwhile considering shelling out $$$ or effort for

    Cheers. 8)

I paid $680 to get the aircon fixed in my old Defender before a trip to Ayers Rock in Dec. 8O Needless to say the bloody thing broke down before we hit the dividing range. Got it sorted later .. but didn't help on that trip.

I'm not sure that the maxi-drive axles my mate had put on were really necessary. When he did a shocky quite early on he had the whole thing re-done in Bilsteins. I think he may have been a bit of a soft touch where his Defender was concerned. I'm not complaining mind you as I bought the vehicle from him.

I am also aware that knowledgable experts here speak highly of these mods. I'm sure they are good but....
