Alien Weaponry - 3 young dudes- literally kickin' ass from the age of 14, singing some epic metal in maori. Great theme, catchy as (bro).
Seek out the lyrics, the translation really helps understand the mood of the song- namely the Musket Wars of NZ tribal history which killed ~40,000 people.
I cant help but feel the pride these guys have for their indigenous people, and shamed for how little I know of mine.
RIP Vinnie Paul.
Co-founder of Pantera, and Brother to Dimebag Darrell.
Yeah way.
I still remember when Dime was shot what a sad day for metal.
The next saddest day was when kia put holy diver in their add...
Agree on #1.
#2... I see it differently. This music has reached an age where it is acceptable enough to be considered advertising music. Years ago, it would be marketing suicide to do anything like this. Let alone put the godfather of heavy metal on a car ad. So that has a good outcome for the genre as a whole. While not ideal (it could be blasted with the dial turned to 11 in every shopping center, elevator, and public place), there is growing acceptance of this music, which is not a bad thing.
Remember, we have Black Sabbath's Iron man as the key song to the movie of the same name.
Will they play this version ?

Yes it may be considered acceptable advertising music but my point is hearing a 15sec snippet of holy diver 40 times a day starts to degrade the song. Now if holy diver came up on my stereo I'd skip it because of hearing too much on ads. It's lost it's nostalgia. Imagine if 15secs of Slayer was played over and over again you would get over it. All these ads need to go back to making jingles again lol
I can't grasp the concept of 'too much Dio'
