Thumbs down Here we go AGAIN!

Yep, unbelievable as this sounds, I'm having 'issues' with my transmission AGAIN!

Driving to My Buller yesterday for work, I noticed a couple of times getting a vibration. It felt almost like having one wheel on one of those articulated white lines. I backed off, it went. Going up the mountain and changes down were ridiculously slow especially going around switch back turns.

From the top of the mountain I rang the particular company in Shepparton. Explained my problem and was promised a call back....... yeah right!

This morning I called again. They have suggested I take to car to someone local to get the car scanned for any electronic gremlins. Fair enough. I called Greg at AMV and he's going to do it this afternoon. I explained the problem to him and he is of the opinion that the problem is not electronic, but will oblige with the scan.

I think my next step will be to make a demand for my $5,200 back and I'll get the bloody thing fixed with someone I really trust, like AMV.

    Watch this space.......

    Are you ****ing kidding me....
Wardy mate, no offence to your intelligence but if you go into a transmission shop and its staffed by a bunch of monkeys hitting things with spanners and throwing **** at each other, maybe don't take it back to them
    Best of luck!

The problem is Muppet, it is a warranty job. I have little choice other than to take it back since I lack the $5k right now to have it all done again by someone else. Perhaps I lack the motivation to keep spending too.

If I can get them to refund my money, it's a different matter.

    Fingers crossed.

You're a patient man, I'd have demanded my money back the first time and burnt the shop down for good measure...

Had Greg from AMV do a scan and he found no computer faults. He thinks the problem is probably Torque Converter related (again).

Still yet to hear from the boss there. Have had 2 conversations with his office boy.

Told him that I no longer have any confidence in them to actually fix my transmission and that I want a refund. I've given them until end of business tomorrow (Wednesday) to resolve the problem or I'll lodge a claim through VCAT on Thursday.

Well, perhaps a half decent result in the end.

No refund, but they have agreed for me to take my car to AMV, have them remove and strip the box, fix it, refit it and they will foot the entire bill.

It's now booked in with AMV for next Tuesday and I'll be carless for a week but that was going to happen anyway when the trannie let go inevitably.

All proves that sticking to your guns when you know you're RIGHT can pay off.

Thanks for all the messages of support too

They've done the right and honourable thing.
    They deserve points for that.
    Good result.
