    Fantastic Bunbury hurricane pics

Nutgrass sent me these so I've created a new album in the members gallery for him, and a sub gallery for these.

    They are truely awesome photos,

The damage they caused was also quite awesome, not only in what was done, but also how one building has gone but the one alongside it is fine. The destructive power was focused in a very small area.

and we must be very thankful that no one was hurt.

Sorry to dampen your storm guys, but these photos are not from Bunbury. I recieved the complete set as well and after spending some time there the country side was wrong not to mention the fact that some of the pictures had vehicles that were all left hand drive and mostly American cars. There was however some good film of a water spout of the coast of Perth the other night on the news.

    Hi Craig
We copped a fair blasting from that storm. At 7am we were sat at the depot ready to start work,we all were talking about the storm that didnt happen,as it was it was a tad late.
The sky was a light grey overcast, drizzeling and the wind was still.I always keep a keen eye on the clouds as I also enjoy a good storm.Whilst we sat there, there were 3 bands of lower level black flat clouds that came over moving at an exremely fast rate,I pointed them out to my workmates, who all said thats strange, they all said it looks like a scene from movies just before the UFO arives.
About 20 mins later the storm hit,it went in a line fron the north to south east just missing Williams town and ending up in Wagin.
Lucky it missed town, the trees it destroyed was amazing, huge redgums and whitegums pulled out of the ground roots and all.
All roads out of Williams were blocked with fallen trees,we were falt out all last week and until wednesday this week cleaning trees from the roadside. To see the paddocks where the storm travelled is awe inspiring, the trees are all perfect until you come to the storms path, there arent too many left standing they all lay flat with their roots all exposed,in one paddock there was a tractor on its side!!!!

Definitely not Bunbury (I would hazard mid-west USA), but awesome pics anyway. I am amazed at how quickly those shots got around, I received them from several people! 8)
