Some are sketched from an enlarged photo and then scanned into a pc to have things like pixels, light, shade enhanced as he has said, but they are basically still his own hand work. He is a very talented artist and I understand some of his work sells for quite a bit of money and at no stage has he tried to deceive anyone. I know that he has even done sketches for some members here without charge and I am pretty sure they are thrilled with the final result. Unfortunately and understandably he has been offended by some of the comments about his work as in reality all he was trying to do was help a few forum members who requested he draw something special for them and I doubt if we will see him return to this forum. Our loss unfortunately.
Somewhat instructive to see the record of some of the critics !

Maybe they need to be told when they post here that they're not still on facebook

Thanks for the update Brian, I'd been wondering why Robert hadn't followed up this thread lately.
I'd have to agree with you in that he is a very talented artist and I'm hoping he will return to the forum in the future

this is a drawing of a Defender made by my young son who asked me to post it up. Perhaps I have a budding Robert on my hands!

Hopefully he comes back, having absolutely no artistic talent myself I've enjoyed looking at his drawings. I think the posts disputing whether he draws them are showing their ignorance of art and how it is created.

Hi Andy. Funnily enough we don't have any chequer plate. But thanks for responding. My son was very excited to see someone read our post with his picture.

I too enjoyed Robert's drawings and would like to see him return and show us his skills again.

I also hope he returns. Always enjoy seeing a different way of someone sharing their passion for Landrovers!
