We sent a TDI300 clutch slave to Tassie on Friday and it should be there on Monday. Yes you guess it no movement from Sunshine on the Sunday.
Just had a phone call from Aust post and there is a problem with some of the depo, there are replacing the satchel and refunding the cost of the clutch slave. Not much good for our customer. Have email our customer if doesn't show up there by the end of the day we will have to send out another one:mad:
Good one Aust post. Told them I will be putting a claim on any one of our orders that do not get there the next day with in there post code express.
Aust post management know about the problem and it might be a couple of months before they have it right. Not good enough for us:mad: Heather

It took nine days for Auspost's parcel service to deliver a packet containing two books from Melbourne to us in Brisbane - and they wanted my wife to drive to a depot to pick it up, but she refused as the depot wasn't open after she finished work, so it was eventually delivered to her work. Nine days! Terrible service.

Update on missing parcel, got this today from them.
As the scans do not indicate your article was delivered, I am unable to identify where it currently is. We deem this article lost in transit.
I hope this hasn't caused too much of an inconvenience for you and the addressee.
Next time you are sending a valuable or important parcel, I recommend that you opt for Extra Cover. This will give you peace of mind that if your parcel is lost or damaged in transit, you are covered up to amount of cover taken. Why should we they are not doing there job, why should we add extra cost to our customers, we are trying to keep the cost down with postage. They also said that we will get a refund on the satchel and the clutch slave.

I can't fathom that insurance is to cover loss of parcel. Damage, at a stretch, I can consider is reasonable given the unknown of transit conditions such as roads, turbulence etc.
To me, it's like paying for a cheeseburger at Maccas (sorry Mario and Heather, bad example!) and them coming to you 5min later saying they couldn't make it, and you should have paid extra to make sure you received the burger?
If you're paying for the service of having them deliver an item, you should have them deliver an item.

Yes why should we pay for insurance when they can not deliver it. It doesn't make sense. We do insure large items like radiators and every large orders, they seem to get there destination alright with out getting lost or damaged. Go figure Aust post:mad: Heather

We have had a ongoing issue for several years and made many complaints about Aust Post delivering mail intended from the street parallel to ours, to our address. One street name is long and the other is short and they are nothing like each other. They start with different letters and do not look similar at all.
Concerned about this, we got a PO Box for which they hiked up the price by about double this year. Problem is when it comes to identity theft issues these days you just can't take the risk. Given that they've been delivering this other person's mail to us for over 15 years I have no confidence that important mail of ours wouldn't go to someone else.

On another note, I'd highly recommend people look into the free parcel Locker service offered by auspost. It allows you to pickup any parcel 24/7, and being that auspost is delivering to their own facility, hopefully they'll get it right!
You get a message when ready for pickup, and a dedicated address to give to the sender. I am quite impressed with it, given auspost's inflexible pickup hours if I'm not home.

This is slightly off topic , but still Aus post . Last year I went to post a letter in our local post box , took a walk about 1/2 k away . When I got to the post box , It had gone . Whent to our local post office and asked , Do you know why our post box has gone . Something to do with Vandalism , we were told . So contacted Aus post to ask why ? They sent a letter saying that they sent out a survey telling locals they were removing the box ! As fare as they were concerned the matter was closed . So we contacted them again and asked what do you mean the matter is closed , why have you taken It away ? We then got a phone call , the aus post lady said there had been some damage , so they decided to take It away . I mentioned this to my cousin who works for Aus post , he said there doing It all over the place , and this reason is bull . They are looking for savings everywhere . He thinks get the profits up before It is sold off !!.. Jim ..

You wouldn't believe it, just got an email from Aust post say that the lost parcel is going to be delivered today, when yesterday they said that they could not fine it and deemed it lost. Went on there web site to check it out and the one we sent on Friday that was lost and is getting there today and the replacement we sent yesterday is also going to be delivered today.
Email the customer to ask it he would put on one of the parcels to return to sender. Where has the first parcel been for the 3days when it should have been delivered on the Monday. Go figure Aust post:( Heather
