    Auspost at it again

I bought a winch solenoid off ebay and tracking showed it as recieved by auspost in NSW 18/05, 19/05 it showed processing at Chullora NSW facility.
Wednesday 20th it was received at Sunshine Vic facility so would assume delivery 21st or 22nd. So this morning i check the tracking again and now its at the Underwood QLD facility and the tracking number has changed - WTF .
I called their customer circus and they cant tell me why its now in QLD.

Been waiting for an item that is stuck in Chullora now for 5 days too, I suspect its off peak rate postage (eParcel) waiting for a slow parcel day.

Having seen recent news items on how well their new parcel sorting machinery is not working, I can make a shrewd guess as to how this comes about!

Good luck with Aust post, we sent diff plugs to Ringwood which is 20 min drive from us. Customer email us a week later saying he has not receive it check the tracking and said in transit. So I contacted Aust post, love the run around with they copy and past talk. We sent another diff plugs out that day day and it was delivered the next. Took 10 days for Aust post to get back to us with there search and they can not fine it Told them I want the money back for the satchel and plugs. They said they only would refund the satchel, but a one off they would refund the plugs. If takes 5 weeks for them to print up a money order and to send it out. They told me I should insured it, What the that means the satchel and insurance is more than the item. Told them they are lucky it was a $300 item. We do take out insurance for our very large orders, but why on $11 part. Told them I would be putting in claims for our express satchel that do not get there the next day, for the post codes that are in the next day.

Lately their parcel (non)tracking system has been very unreliable. I had one item worth $500 sent (from Nowra to Sydney) with tracking and signature that is still showing in- transit 3 weeks later although I know it was received in about 3 days. It even took 4 days before it showed as being lodged at the local post office.

Well my friend from Macclesfield is still tickled how he ordered some 300tdi timing parts off you at 4pm and had the stuff in his hand by 11am the next morning. Seems to be an Adelaide thing, I rarely have trouble with Aust Post parcels here either.

I find that eParcels are the greatest waste of time, it takes ages to get something sent from one side of Melb to the other, sometimes a whole week. So we won't use them.
When people buy parts they generally need them straight away so we use a method that gets them there the quickest. Couriers aren't an option for us as we are 2 kms out of the pick up zone as we are classed as country even though we are a suburb of Melbourne, Go figure
    Cheers,
    Mario
