    Faces of the Blackhawk Crash

Tomorrow marks the 19th Anniversary of the Blackhawk Crash At High Range Training Area near Townsville. Here are the faces of the men who died that night. I got this off the SAS Historical Page on Facebook.

Yes, I remember that night well, A mate and I were over at Cape Cleveland on an overnight fishing trip and heard it on the radio. Was hoping my neighbour was not one of them as he was out there that night.

There were a few ADF tragedies up there. I got introduced to the poor bloke who slammed his Hornet into Palm.

The Blackhawk disaster was a huge shock.

I've only been to Townsville once, and that was last year when We had a holiday on Magnetic Island,...which was just lovely.
Anyway, we also did a "Military Tour" of Townsville, and saw a Memorial and several other artifacts/articles relating to that terrible disaster.
    VERY brave men. R.I.P.
