    4 days before knee operation

Ya Monday I get this knee operated on, can hardly wait.
it is so hard to get up from chairs and in to cars to post orders. Now my Son who is 20 has just come down with a cold. Told him to keep away from me as I do not want to catch it. Monday 22 go in and Monday22 come out, only doing key hole operation. So Mario will not be around to help you guys out if you need anything. Heather

Trust all goes well for Mario - much more fun than a knee replacement, so should be fine. Cheers

Yes Mario, any form of surgery is a bit traumatic, so good luck with it all.
What created the problem,.."old footy injury" etc, or just plain old wear & tear?

I had keyhole op. done about 5 years ago but it didn't work for long and the pain came back big time. Now they're thinking it's not good for a lot of people but I forget why.
Had a TKR 4 years ago and that was much better, huge improvement in mobility and my left knee is now much better as well because I'm not putting all my weight on it.
Only real problem afterwards was the right knee feeling so cold at night I had to use a hot water bottle on it to warm up.
Virtually no real pain either although they gave me heaps of opiates to use if I felt any. A lady who had her op. same day wanted my pills as she got really badly hooked on them.
Good luck Mario, and let's hope it gives you relief from pain.

PS. They got me onto physio the next day after the op. No laying around perving on nurses allowed these days.

I had knee reconstructions done in 2001 - both legs at the same time

Never healed properly and I had all sorts of trouble... Was told full knee replacements in under 5 years...

Well its now 2015 and I still have the OEM knees (although they grind and make some noise) and with hard work in the gym are stronger than ever...

Hi Heather, I hope it all goes well for you.

Guys, by the wording in the first post, it's Heather who is having the operation, not Mario. I'd assume that Mario will be looking after Heather for a bit hence the notification of delay in processing orders etc. Correct me if I'm wrong.
