Who has right of way? Me or you?

    And why?

I am traveling from the left and turning right.
You are traveling from the right and turning left.

The car travelling from L to R has right of way because the truncation effectively is a second T junction.
If there was no truncation, the car coming from the right would have right of way.
Having right of way is not a defence for failing to avoid a collision.

The car travelling from the right and turning left has right of way over the car coming from the left and turning right (you Mick). Reason - when you are turning across the traffic you must give way to anything coming from the opposite direction. Well, that's the rule in Qld anyway, but I would think it would be the same in Mexico. That is unless it is at lights then the rule changes.

    As I understand it.
    1. In NSW I have right of way
    2. In Victoria you have right of way.

On the road pictured, the person turning left will have exited the main road before getting to your crossing point and will have to give way to you at a separate T junction as Bearman said.

(2A) If the driver is turning left using a slip lane, the driver must give way to -
    (a) any vehicle on the road the driver is entering, or turning right at the intersection into the road the driver is entering (except a vehicle making a U-turn at the intersection); and

    (b) any other vehicle or pedestrian on the slip lane.

My belief, in Queensland, is that you have to give way to traffic whose path yo want to cross. With a truncated intersection there are two intersections, marker red and yellow in the diagram below.

NSW doesn't use the Australian Road Rules!

    NSW Legislation

The relevant rule in NSW is 72.

The fact that it is a "T" intersection is irrelevant.

Although if that is a "slip road" we can see, then IT IS Rule 69 and you have right of way.

    Sensible isn't it!

Yep. Basically, after turning right, you're on the thoroughfare while the bloke on the right, turning left, has to wait to enter.

Could be wrong but person turning left gives way due to they
have to use slip road not going from main road to main road

Has anyone else noticed that Mick seems to have thrown a firecracker into the room and has now bolted?
