    finke desert race

    Hi all

    off to the finke desert race again this weekend.

    this year there is 440 bikes and about 80 buggies/cars should be good


    440k of pure hell of a track!

    G'day Well you certainly don't have to travel very far to see the action :roll: but it would be good to see, i drove the track to Finke in 1993 on one of our (3) trips to your part of Oz and mate some pix for the rest of us to see have fun be safe cheers Dennis

    Some posted pics would be great. A mate of mine raced in it several years ago and if I remember rightly finshed second overall in the bike on his first attempt on an XR600 Ballards modified Honda. Needles to say I actually bought this bike from him and had it for a few years.

    Sorry folks, didnt get many pics of the race this year. I have truck loads from previous years. I spent this year enjoying the race, and keeping track of children, we had 17 kids in our camp at one stage. Was a good weekend!

    Even though we got drowned in rain. The rain kept the dust down. (Over he finke weekend, we had more than half the amount of rain than we have had over the past 12 months! farmers loved it.)
