I'd never heard of him but I've never seen any of the movies you mentioned.
Just read in today's paper that James Horner was killed in a plane crash last week in USA. He was 61.
He is famous for writing the music for such films as Avatar, Titanic, Braveheart, Apollo 13 and the list goes on.
He will be sorely missed.

Really. I'm not a movie buff. I rarely watch movies on TV and have been to the cinema about 3 times in the past 40+ years. The last time I went, I walked out about 30 mins (or less) into the programme. I couldn't stand the audio volume. That was to see the Isle of Man motorcycle racing movie.
There are about 50 movie DVDs bought by my late son sitting on the shelf here. I haven't watched any of them.

Unlikely as I don't listen to the radio - at least I haven't done since about 1993. I can't stand listening to announcers talking crap.
I went through the list of movie credits and I seen two of them, one of the Zorro movies and A Beautiful Mind (the bloke depicted in that was killed in a car crash just recently along with his wife).
