I had a VW beetle and it would eat a LandRover in flat mud like that. Actually it was better in snow too !!

Hi RoverLord, there is another shorter but clearer video and all the RR's wheels are turning and I have had the same situation happen with my L322.

There is actually nothing wrong with the RR that a decent set of off road tyres wouldn't fix.

The VW is a Syncro ( VW 4x4 ) and has off road tyres.

Perhaps the most embarrassing thing for the Marc, is it looks like a factory car or at least a dealer sponsored car. One would hope they know their product, but then the guy I bought my Defender from admitted he had only 4x4'd twice. Lovely guy, but I could picture him in the RR's predicament.
Personaly I think there is a lot of luck with mud or greasy conditions. The RR looks to have taken the proper line or followed the herd, the VW has taken greener line to go around the RR. That it all it can take sometimes. But I guess that's not luck now I think about it. Smart arse Germans

Years ago Mrs Tombie had an FJ73 Cruiser.

We stopped at a gate into the Border track, I opened the gate and waved her through.

Nothing!!! Vehicle sat exactly where it was.. So she hit the lockers (already in 4wd) and........... Nothing...

Took a very slight push at the back to get it moving...

red hard pack clay on a freezing cold morning after some rain perchance?

theres an area of that crap on pucka and in just the right conditions 10 men can have a tug of war with a carrier, and win. Then you all get to spend the rest of the morning doing circle work and drifting in buckets.
