Went to the Queensland Garden Expo at Nambour Showground today. In the damp car park was a bloke in a van stuck in the mud. I idled past and parked. Up he comes. 'I can see you're not having any worries, so any chance you could give me a tow?' he said. 'Sure, no worries.' Pulled out the snatch strap for him to attach to his vehicle, fitted the rear tow hook and gently helped him out. That was actually the first rescue I've done since buying the Defender. During the day I noticed several other verhicles, including a Prado, spinning wheels in the car park. When we left, after more rain, the Defender just idled out without any worries.

The bogans are in town. V8 supercars are in Townsville which attracts a certain type of rev head in my opinion. I love cars and I consider myself a rev head but taxi racing has never really appealed to me. I did buy a FPV F6 last year in a moment of nostalgia. Probably should have bought a D4 but then I would never have bought the D3 V8. I love my D3 V8. Maybe a D4 V8 one day.

Something is wrong - we are losing the First Test of the Ashes. All out for 308.

Talking of ashes, did a burn off yesterday after the rain & almost burnt the whole suburb down. Mid winter, sub zero night temperatures & almost gave the wife a heart attack.

I went on a diet once, I got so hungry that I went onto two diets at once.

The only thing making it bearable is eating 7 times a day.
