Great job by the Boomers to lead the US 'Dream Team' at half time and only lose by 10 points.
The US coach said the Aussies were the best team at the Olympics, which was high praise, considering the members of the US team have a total value greater than the GDP of some countries (only half-joking).
Our Andrew Bogurt said he thought the Aussies were the best team and were disappointed they let it slip with some mistakes in the second half.
I saw some of their previous game against Serbia and our boys looked super sharp. Great job anyway.
Our women's basketball team also looked great when I saw their game, as did the women's soccer team.
Interesting that our women have won more medals than our men. Maybe it's time for more female sport on TV. For example, if the ARU isn't negotiating to get women's rugby on TV then it is incompetent, I reckon.

I think it's great that our Women do so well in world sport. To me it is indicative of a level of freedom and support that women struggle to get in many other countries.
Ditto on the TV for Womens sport too. I'd watch it SWMBO permitting, of course. :angel:

On the topic of American Football, I just watched the movie 'Concussion'.
Great film, based off a true story. I give it a 7.

I'm a big fan of women's tennis too, purely for the skill, of course.

Currently at tha 50th ceremony about Long Tan at the Cenotaph with a school group. Quite impressed with the respect shown by the students. Pity about the Canberra wind though...
