Years ago the RAA used to operate a "Testing Station" once per year in Sir Lewis Cohen Drive in the South Parklands & you queued & waited until they got to you & they would test lamp alignment, etc..
Of course those days of yore have long gone & they couldn't handle it these days so the next best thing is to have the local Service Centre of your choice do it, assuming they have a sighting board.
But you are right, heaps of cars have crappily (sp?) adjusted lights & some even have just one, but "Hey ho who cares, I'm alright Jack."
Seems people aren't taught by the driving schools to do a 'First Parade Service' before setting out for the day. I still remember the sequence as probably many of you still do.

Petrol -Oil -Water -Glass -Lights -Instruments -Tyres. The names have changed but the order is still the same. A least those things are being looked at.
I'm sure some people don't even kick the tyres, just the cat.[biggrin]
