Absolutely, I get a headache when I take phenylephrine hydrochloride, which isn't much good when you're taking it for a sinus headache. But just try to get even a single packet of a product containing pseudoephedrine like the original Sudafed!

In all fairness, the street value of a pack of PE can be 40 bucks or more. The value of a single oxycontin tablet can be upwards of $20. The legal drugs when used in the incorrect way are bad news for those dispensing them, and those who are the users. I believe the regulation of these drugs is well and truly justified.

Quite true. I have no objection to that at all. However, I don't think it justifies the sometimes embarrassing scrutiny one can be subjected to when simply trying to obtain the only, truly effective relief, available.

If it's embarrassing, or you are put under too much scrutiny, find a new chemist! They are just regular people with some legal hoops to jump thru on a daily basis- they need to make their judgement in a few seconds to save their bacon if it goes pear shaped... And of course they are probably just jaded from the 15 junkies per day that ask for a range of S4 - S8 drugs 'over the counter'.

All this goes out the window of course you want to buy 15 packs at one time, then it's straight to the naughty corner. NO SOUP FOR YOU

However the pseudoephedrine can be used as a precursor in the manufacture of methyl amphetamine (Ice) which can sell thousands or even millions of dollars of misery.

I've given up on coke and instead of a 600mL bottle I have 16 teaspoons of sugar with the alcoholic spirit of my choice.

I've also replaced a 2L bottle of coke with 50 teaspoons of sugar, the same sugar content as the bottle.

You should give up on flavoured milk. You can have more sugar then.
